I know from experience that starting a new movement practice can feel intimidating. The four week beginner’s course is a great way to learn the basics in a supportive environment and make some new friends along the way.

The holistic nature of yoga supports not only our bodies, but our minds and emotional wellbeing too. It can be a helpful tool in balancing our nervous system, supporting stress management and sleep.
Regular yoga practice can support us in so many ways from increasing flexibility, mobility, proprioception, core strength, balance and co-ordination (to name just a few!). It’s a good counterpart to other forms of movement supporting your recovery and overall performance.

What to expect from a Flow versus Unwind and Restore yoga class?
Flow - Vinyasa Style Class
Vinyasa is a creative form of yoga characterised by its dynamic flowing sequences. We’ll start with a breath practice and gentle warm up gradually increasing the intensity as we transition smoothly between poses using our breath. We’ll sometimes pause to explore poses and their alignment more deeply enabling you to in incorporate what you learn into your practice over time.
Unwind and Restore - A mix of gentle flow and Yin
Yin yoga is a slow and meditative practice that works the deeper tissues of our ligaments, joints, bones and fascial networks. It is a system of long-held (usually 3-10 minutes) passive floor poses that incorporates principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine, in particular meridian pathways.
Although Yin yoga can be very relaxing, the nature of the long-held poses means it can, at times, become quite challenging. As Sarah Powers says, “Yin is an opportunity to cultivate a non-defensive attitude towards sensations” - something we can carry into our everyday lives.

Camille’s teaching style is light hearted and playful with an emphasis on what works for you in a pose - empowering you to feel comfortable and strong on and off the mat.
Over the years she has grown an increased appreciation for yoga as an embodiment practice and it’s ability to draw us out of our busy minds and into our bodies.
Learning that her body can be a safe place to land and ‘come home’ to, is a continual journey.
